HPC:Factor has learnt from sources that PhatWare Corporation, creators of the award winning CalliGrapher handwriting recognition software and PhatNotes, Outlook notes synchronisation software intend to release an update to the current CalliGrapher 6.6 release for Handheld PCs.

The new update, expected later this year will contain a significantly improved handwriting detection engine, bringing the Handheld PC release up to the core of at least the Pocket PC 7.4 release, if not to the 7.5 version released in the last few days. We can also expect enhancements to PenCommander, CalliGraphers extraordinarily powerful Macro scripting system.

The update, anticipated to become Calligrapher 6.7 is expected to retail for the same price as the current 6.6 release, a release date has not yet been made available.
