In a month and a half's time HPC:Factor, as the community knows it, will be three years old. Over the past three years the site has grown considerably, and now enjoys a vibrant forum community supporting the efforts of everyone within the H/PC Community.

While there have been occasional outages, mainly caused by hurricanes. HPC:Factor has never formally been taken off-line for maintenance. The owners have decided that four years is long enough, and that we wish to deal with one or two issues with some of the critical areas of the site before they become problems. As a consequence we are currently undergoing the process of organising downtime periods which will require HPC:Factor to be completely off-line.

It likely at this point that there will be more than one outage period, and we will do our best to provide notification to the community beforehand as we will be transitioning over to a new server as part of the maintenance cycle.
