CoreCodex, creators of TCPMP (formerly BetaPlayer) have issued an updated version of their portable video player The Core Pocket Media Player (TCPMP).

The public release candidate contains several significant bug fix updated for Windows CE users. A full changelog for the release can be found here.

The TCPMP release offerings over the last 12 months since the rename of the program have spelt a decisive push to bring the application up towards a formal 1.0 release. Now at 0.72, the CoreCodec team are stepping closer to the goal of bringing an open video set to as broad a range of mobile devices as they possibly can.

TCPMP is an open source, mobile multimedia project run by TCPMP. In the spirit of true open source, the application is freeware and is available for Handheld PC's running Windows CE 2.0 and higher.
