Aiko releases SecuBox 1.2Handheld PC News Posted 16 years ago | News | Chris Tilley 0 comments
![]() Aiko Solutions have updated the release version of their security and encryption product SecuBox for the Windows CE and Windows Mobile platform.
The new 1.2 release of SecuBox is designed for the security conscious user looking to ensure that if their PDA is lost, users cannot gain access to their private documents stored within the devices memory. SecuBox works by creating a virtual storage volume, similar to a CF card or PSA on the device. This storage area is contained within RAM or the PSA of your device and forms a 256-bit security wrapper around any information stored within. To gain access to the security volume, you must provide password credentials, which are encrypted using a 512-bit encryption key. SecuBox is designed to be user friendly, and easy to use, including some integration into the Windows CE Explorer and helpful prompts such as advising you on how secure your chosen password really is. Handheld PC support ranges from Windows CE 3.0 upwards, including HPC2000 and Aiko claim to have support for the Palm-Size PC users as well. SecuBox 1.2 costs $39.95 USD (£20.50 GBP, €29.30 EUD, ¥4100 JPY est.)from Handango. A 30-day user trial is available to download from the Aiko Solutions website.
