Queen Elizabeth II - With Eternal Gratitude

Handheld PC News

Posted 2 years ago | News | Chris Tilley 3 comments

Today is a day that many of my nation have pondered with dread in their thoughts for many years. Yet here, now, on this day. As the sun sets around us we as a nation are at last are compelled to face that fear and its meaning as we witness the passing of the second Elizabethan Era.

To the life and duty of our Queen, I offer my thanks and my admiration. As many, my grief and shock leaves me with a profound sense of personal loss. As I gaze out the window on the dying rays of light from the sun as the final day of your reign comes to a close, I find a grief an emptiness; more so than I ever realised it could. Thank-you for all that you meant to me, for the stability and consistency that your presence and selflessness brought us, for the light and grace that you offered to me as well as many more beyond.

Rest in peace your majesty.

God save the King.

She closed her book with absolute class. Ushered in the new PM, even managing a conversation with Truss after the formalities. Only then, did the Queen pass. What a triumph in the midst of many triumphs.

Hello everyone,

I've also heard about these news, or I should say, sad news. The Queen was a particular person to the international point of view, often seen on TV, magazines, the Internet, etc. and a illustrious ruler of the UK, this was for me a real sorrow to hear that Her majesty passed away. Neither did I nor other people expected a such tragedy.

I'm mildly conflicted on the office, but not at all on the individual. She did more than could have been expected. Sad to see her shuffle off this mortal coil.
