Description

TaskbarControlCE is a Windows CE GUI application intended to control
taskbar visibility while fullscreen application are running and there
is no hardware keyboard to switch between applications.

As a fullscreen application is started, it hides system taskbar to
display its window on entire screen area. Even if hardware keyboard is
connected, most fullscreen applications are not capable to restore
taskbar when its window is switched to the background.

TaskbarControlCE watches for foreground window changes and controls
taskbar appearance:

- When taskbar is visible and current foreground window obscures
taskbar, taskbar becomes hidden.

- When taskbar is hidden and current foreground window does not obscure
taskbar (or foreground window is taskbar itself), taskbar becomes
visible.

If hardware keyboard is attached, window switching can be performed by
Alt-Esc or Alt-Tab combinations. Otherwise, there are two ways to
interact with TaskbarControlCE:

- By default, TaskbarControlCE window (class and window names are
"Taskbar Control") is hidden. If it is activated programmatically from
a full-screen application, TaskbarControlCE restores taskbar.

- TaskbarControlCE window can be displayed as a "control spot", a
colored rectangle placed where you want, to avoid obscuring important
screen parts. If this control spot is tapped, TaskbarControlCE restores
taskbar. Control spot is displayed only in fullscreen mode, when
taskbar is hidden. If taskbar is visible, you can switch windows by
tapping taskbar icons so there is no reason to display control spot.
