No more typing an address book entry from your friend's hand held device! The updated version is now available for Palm and WindowsCE which can transfer card(s) to/from Psion Series 5mx.

Address Beam is distributed as a 30-day/usage trial package, which is easily downloadable. To use the free trial package just click "Try" when the registration screen asks for the registration code. You can purchase Address Beam for US$ 25, after which you will receive a registration code to unlock the downloaded version.
\What are the new features?
AddressBeam is now also available for Psion Series 5mx devices. The updated version is now available for Palm and WindowsCE which can transfer card(s) to/from Psion Series 5mx. Now this application will transfer the card(s) between all three devices (i.e. Psion Series 5mx, WindowsCE and Palm).
What is Address Beam?
No more typing an address book entry from your friend's hand held device! Address Beam is a unique cross platform application that uses Infrared to transfer address card(s) from a Psion Series 5mx device to any device (WindowsCE or Palm ) and vice versa. It is an easy to use application that beams business card(s) at the touch of a button.

Address Beam is an easy to use application for anyone who wants to exchange electronic address cards with another person without requiring to enter all the information again.
Can it be used to transfer address cards on any kind of palmtop/hand-held?
Address Beam can be used to transfer address cards between:
A 3Com's Palm III/V device and a Windows CE device.
Psion Series 5mx and Palm device.
Psion Series 5mx and a Windows CE device.
Two Psion Series 5mx devices.
Two Windows CE devices
Two 3Com's Palm III/V devices
How to use Address Beam?
You can transfer address cards using Address Beam by following the steps listed below:
Address Beam application should be installed on both devices.
Place the two devices such that they are facing each other and select the address card to be transferred.
Press Beam button on any device to start the transfer process. Make sure the infrared ports are lined up.
What is the maximum number of devices that one can be connected to at a time?
It is possible to connect to and exchange address cards with only one remote device at a time.
Do you need to install any particular software in order to use this application?
No additional software is required in order to run this application successfully.
Would the application run on any palmtop/hand-held?
The application has been tested on the following devices:
Windows CE 2.0 MIPS/SH3.
Palm OS 2.0 or higher.
Psion Series 5mx
Does AddressBeam allow multiple cards to be sent simultaneously?
Using AddressBeam you can send all existing cards on your device to the remote device
in one go.
Installation Instructions
Can I directly install the files?
If you are downloading the .ZIP file then you must have winzip installed on your PC else you should download the self-extracting file (.EXE file).
How to download
Click on the required exe file (or zip file, if you have Winzip) according to your device type. After you have downloaded the file, double click on it to unzip the files.
