The coach can maintain detailed statistics of his team and its players, can rank the players and add practice sessions of theteam. He can also maintain and view notes about teams and players.

What is NBAInPocket?
NBAInPocket is an application that enables basketball coaches to record and maintain team and player statistics and schedule games and practice sessions. Likewise, any basketball lover can also record the statistics of his favorite teams/players and later analyze them .

What are its salient features?
NBAInPocket facilitates:

Viewing of general player information and addition of new player information
Formation of teams from players.
Storing detailed game wise statistics of teams and players (periodically and overall).
Viewing schedule of games and practice sessions of a team.
Ranking the players on the basis of certain attributes.
Keeping notes about teams and players.

What are the devices on which this application runs?
NBAInPocket runs on all handheld devices with SH3 or MIPS processors having WindowsCE 2.0 or later.

What all team/player statistics can be recorded?
Following statistics of team as well as players can be recorded:

Assists
Offensive Rebound
Defensive Rebound
Steals
Block Shots

In addition, a record of number of shots attempted, shots converted into points, total points collected and percentage points of the following can also be maintained:

Two Points Field Goals

Three Points Field Goals

Field Goals

Free Throws

For players, total number of double dribbles, charges, bad passes personal, technical, offensive and defensive fouls can be also recorded.

What all details can be recorded?

Name, age, height, address, e-mail, phone number, jersey number, position of a player.
Game details like venue, opposing teams, players, whether played/playing on home grounds or foreign grounds, schedule, etc., can be stored.
Team details like, players of the team and the games played by the team can be stored.

How can the data be analyzed?
From the team /player statistics, the average FG%, FT% etc., can be calculated. The result of the matches played by a team in a particular season can be retrieved and analyzed. The player statistics can be analyzed to rank the players according to certain attributes .

How can one maintain statistics about opponent teams?
In order to maintain statistics about opponent teams, it has to be added as a separate team.
