Description |
Quick Lookup is simply a dictionary reader. It reads files in MXD format, a proprietory file format.
At the original website, there were three main programs or utilities.
1. This file, Quick Lookup for HPCs 2. Dictionary Builder, which was a Windows desktop program to build a dictionary or reference database in MXD format. It also allowed for conversion of contents from other sources. 3. Quick Clip, another Windows desktop program that allowed you to capture content from a web page and put it into an MXD file directly.
Most users use Quick Lookup as a reader to access many free, but comprehensive dictionsaries. Others use the sister programs to incorporate their own contents in to custom MXD files.
Program Highlights:
Accessing content through Table of contents or keyword indexes Bookmark, and browser-liked navigation ClearType support (customizable) in PocketPC version Special in PocketPC version only: Pick up keywords (text) from other applications with WordPicker.
