Description

HPC Spell is an English spell checker for Microsoft Windows-powered Pocket PC, Palm-size PC, and Handheld PC. The spell checker has its own interface, which is similar to Windows Notepad. In addition to the basic text editing functionality, it allows a user to check spelling, set spell checker options, and send emails. Spell checker includes a large English dictionary containing over 90,000 words.

System Requirements

- Download and copy HPC Spell installation program (hpcspell25.exe) into a temporary directory onto your desktop computer.
- Connect the mobile device to the desktop computer.
- Run hpcspell25.exe installation program on the desktop computer.
-Follow the on-screen installation instructions to install HPC Spell.

By default, the HPC Spell application (hpcspell.exe) and English dictionary (English.dic) will be installed in the \Program Files\Accessories directory on your mobile device and shortcuts will be created in the \Windows\Programs\Accessories directory and on the desktop. The spell checker DLLs (hpcsple.dll and hpcsplui.dll) and help files will be copied into \Windows directory. Please do not move these DLLs from \Windows folder, otherwise HPC Spell may not function properly. To run HPC Spell just double-click on HPC Spell icon on desktop. During installation you can specify different target folders using Windows CE application manager, for example any folder on the flash memory card.

After installation, you can also move the English dictionary file to any other location. To move the dictionary just copy English.dic file to any other folder, and then change the file name in the English Dictionary box in HPC Spell Options dialog box.
