wmnM3K.exe is a MIPS 3000 specific build of Windows Media Player. For use on devices such as the MIPS 3900 based Sharp Telios.
WMNAll.exe provides binaries for SH3, MIPS 4000, ARM and StrongARM
SH4 - Currently there is no SH4 build of Windows Media Player 1.2 available
To ascertain which version you need
- Tap Start then Settings and open the Control Panel
- Double tap the System applet icon
- Select the Device tab, the CPU type is listed next to Processor Type
Once you know which version is required, download the file to your computer and double click the .exe. Windows Media Player 1.2 will be installed through Microsoft ActiveSync.
During the installation on the Handheld PC, the installer will ask you whether you wish to overwrite the file ATADISK.dll on your device.
The updated ATADISK.dll file is part of the Digital Rights Management (DRM) of Windows Media Player. We recommend that you only agree to replace the file is you are using Windows Media Player 7.0 or 7.1 on your Host PC. If you are using a different version (6.4, 8, 9 or 10) HPC:Factor recommends that you do not allow the file copy as the dll has been know to cause major problems with the use of some CF storage cards.
