Windows CE 1.0 was released before Microsoft expanded the WinSock layer of the operating system to support ethernet network connections. Consequently Windows CE 1.0 and 1.01 are unable to support Ethernet or Wireless Network connections.

Users should upgrade to Windows CE 2.00 to make use of this functionality.
