1. Internet ExplorerHaving installed Outlook 98 you should first update Internet Explorer to the latest version available. Internet Explorer 5.5 SP2 for Windows 95. Internet Explorer 6.0 SP1 for Windows NT 4.0, 98, 98SE, 2000, Millennium and Internet Explorer 6.0 SP2 under Windows XP SP2. It is important to update Internet Explorer even if you do not plan to use it as your default web browser. Outlook 98 file components are shared with Internet Explorer and the fastest and often only way to update these files is to update Internet Explorer. Microsoft Outlook Component InstallerOnce you have installed Outlook 98 you can automatically check to ensure that you have the latest version of the Outlook 98 components using the Outlook Component Installer Site.
