Overview
Windows CE Mobile Channels are a legacy technology that is no longer supported on the current generation of Windows Powered mobile devices.
The reason behind this was that Microsoft 'Channels' vision for Internet Explorer 4.0 wasn't as successful with developers as Microsoft was anticipating. As a result the main CDF technologies were retired with the release of Internet Explorer 5.0 in 1999. CDF still remains a working part of Internet Explorer to this day. However the number of active channels that are being updated is very small.
Mobile Channels were part of the Channels vision, and like their desktop counterparts the number of sites that had the techical resources needed to deploy a CDF based site, side-by-side with their main site was limited. As a result there are equally few active Windows CE Mobile Channels in existence today. Those which are know to HPC Factor are listed below.
