| Is it still working okay? I thought about sending them my MobilePro 790 and 900 battery backs. |

| I think so.....but haven't done any extensive battery testing, as most of the time I've had both card slots loaded with cards and WinCE gives me message about not being able to support using both slots with cards if AC charger is not connected. So, most of the time the AC charger is plugged in. |

| I will! If they do a good job (I’m sure they will), I think I’ll ask them if it’s okay if we feature them on a news post here. |

| Sorry for the late update, both batteries for the 790 and 900 seem to be working fine.
My knowledge is limited on how to do a battery benchmark, but they seem to hold charge, idle a lot longer.
The battery meter doesn't work any longer for the 790, but I knew that going in
The battery meter does work for the 900 though |

| Quote The battery meter doesn't work any longer for the 790, but I knew that going in
Really? Is that due to a technical consideration with the new batteries or what? |

| I don’t know the jargon but they told me they couldn’t guarantee the chip in the battery would still function before I sent to them I think the one that reads the metering ?
But yeah the 900 one seems to work though. |

| They said they don't have a way to check since they only have the battery and not the device. |

| Correct. I was under the impression it’s similar to “TPMS” for measuring tire pressure on a car but except for battery.
@thenzero thought it’s odd that the 790 doesn’t measure the battery level but when the battery is fully charged , the light is green.
I suspect maybe the voltage on battery indicates it’s fully charged ? And the hardware itself disables the charging ? |

| I found this thread where cmonex mentioned

be careful when recelling the battery. it is an "intelligent" battery, you need to reprogram it or recell it with that trick mentioned in another thread (the old and then the new cells should have a certain charge level when doing this) |
