Also, thank you for whoever did this, but it seems the old bug in HPC:Factor v2 where you cant select the page numbers in a certain forum section without clicking go is gone..
gee, can't you see, it is not a bug, it is a feature and it is still valid. |

| C:Amie, I was wondering if you knew why the auto-notification comes and goes. I haven't been able to sign on in almost a month, so I'm trying to catch up right now. There have been stretches of a week or two where I didn't get a single notification and I'm sure posts were being made. I realize this isn't a priority and it doesn't bother me that much. ...just wondering if you'd narrowed down the culprit and haven't had time for it, or if it is a mystery to you at this point. Thanks! |

| KBoyKool,
The problem is not with the site server, it is with our less then reliable mail server. It literally need to be replaced, and in a world of econimic imperatives and lethergy, it's not the easiest thing to do right now. |

| Would it be possible to have a seperate savebox for private messages? I've seen this in phpBB and vBulliten and found it to be very useful.
This could aslo be useful for especially for hpcBay users. |

| I assume you mean subfolders? |
|
|
|
| Subfolders would do it yes, just somewhere to store PM's you dont want to lose, without using up space in the inbox. |

| All non-administrators have a message limit of 50 PM's, because of the space requirements in the database, I feel that is fair.
Implementing sub folders into it would not be a trivial job, but I will keep it in mind. Thanks for the suggestion. |

| Maybe you can add an option to "download" or save multiple PMs onto your harddrive, you know in one go.
I know you can always just copy and paste PMs one by one manually... it's just too much work |

| I see. Okay, it's like locking my door. You can't completely stop someone from breaking in, but you can at least slow 'em down enough that it won't be worth it. |

| Okay, this is just a suggestion... But, the HPC:Factor RSS feeds, can an Opera Browser widget be made for the RSS feeds? The RSS widgets are very easy to make: http://widgets.opera.com/widgetize/ and I am sure many Opera 9 users will like having HPC:Factor feeds as a widget in Opera.. I for one, am for it, as I use Opera 9.01 full time now ... But it is up to HPC:Factor.. |

| I'm not sure how I could (easily ) impliment the PM download idea, I'll keep it in mind.
Many of the SPAM posts that I'm seeing sent to the board since I've been away have been from people going through the registration system and then abusing it. Chances are I'll be adding e-mail verification for that shortly.
tenjeangosi, it's a fair suggestion, you don't actually need my input to do it though...
. I'll add them to the RSS output list. |
