I think that's a compliment
All the staff are very clean you know

It has been thought about, but it isn't something I like to do - pride mainly.

hmmm, pride...is good...

money is better though....specially when it's earned.

to me, although i admire myself, i would still put a donation link on a website like this, or even on one that only provides a fraction of the services of this website...

but maybe i'm just too greedy!

The yawn on the eye candy was a joke...w/e. Anyways, just a warn on the rich edit - if you press enter on the hpc in PIE, the <BR> command does not seem to be inserted, and it needs to be inserted normally. If you look back a month or so, you will see when I used rich edit, as on very large posts all the words are squished together.

-...I figured out the <BR> thing afterwards...probably when I got back to coding my site!

Hum, Interesting... Don't know what's up there, unless the lf breaks are being handled in java... don't know.
I use the plain text mode. It's PD9's control, I'll put it to them.

I have gone through all the forums (not an easy task) and checked the edit time settings for your user group, and they are all 60 minutes.

Can you check firstly how the minutes on the official forum time (very bottom left of the page) relate to your system clock and secondly that you have your correct time off set specified in your control panel.

7:26 PM 3/11/2005 hmmm ... ok let me check and update.

I'll timestamp this post so that I can see the exact time lapse according to my system time.

7:30 PM 3/11/2005 So far so good! and the timezone is set correct.

7:43PM so far still so good ...

The only problem I have had is impatience with refresh. (hence multiple posts)I don't know if it is my computer or the system. It takes about 10-15 seconds for me to switch pages. I don't have that with any other pages. It is worse when I am at my house. Home PC is wifi. Anyway I don’t know if it will help. I will just be more patient.
Edit: also I just noticed the with is a lot wider in the reply screen.
Edit: I know how to spell width.

Okey dokey.

I have not got a clue what is going on with the time settings. I have tripple checked and it is all setup for 60 minutes.
At this time I am no inclined to trouble shoot it too heavily as the new forum core will be out shortly. If it hasn't been remedied in that, I will certainly get into the nitty gritty of it then.

Yoldering, the forum is slow for two reasons. Firstly the CPU speed of the server and secondly the database system we are using has a limited array of cursors to serve requests. Both these factors go hand in hand with slow page refreshes.

To fix it we need money, and money is something we don't have.

Lastly on the Poll issue, I believe that it has been fixed now - I was able to vote. I found a error in the forum core and have bug reported it.

Anyone who wishes to test the poll system is working for them please see:

Thanks for the offer. I'll have a look at the source of 2.2 if the problem still exists and if it eludes me we can take it from there.
