After extensive experiments, I have determined the best WiFi card that works like an 'internal' one with a negligible protrusion (~1mm) from MP900(C).

I'm offering 2 options in a small quantity exclusively here:

A. NEC MobilePro 900 with CE .NET 4.2 and pre-installed 'internal' WiFi package.
Price: $99 shipped with tracking within US domestic address including Puerto Rico. $20 more for other destinations.

It includes MP900, original rechargeable battery, coin battery, OEM AC adapter (same specs), OEM stylus (good fit), and brand-new WiFi card with matching antenna. Stock ROM includes WiFi driver and Custom ROM includes an equivalent driver, too. Machine in good condition. Usable main battery but no guarantee. I'll test PCMCIA, USB, CF, speaker/audio jack, and power jack before shipping.

B. Brand-new WiFi card with matching antenna to be installed as an 'internal' WiFi.
Price: $25 shipped with tracking within US domestic address including Puerto Rico. $5 more for other destinations.

You only need to remove 1 screw and open the case at the corner to install the card. I'll trim the antenna to the right length unless you want to do it yourself. I can also install the card for you, but shipping costs you money.

The card's ID is Z-Com-LANEscape/APDL-325-8CA9 as shown in the registry.

See photos to feel the beauty! You can see the WiFi card on MP900 got VERY GOOD signal while sitting on a Sony Vaio with a standard WiFi card that got ~70% strength.

PM me if you are interested or ask questions if you have any. Thanks.

Long Live Handheld PC!

That is very tempting...
Did you have to cut the side of the MP or is it cracked?

No. I do not have to cut the side at all. One photo shows the cut that was my earlier attempt to install the antenna in another way. Finally, I found a way to hide the antenna. No cutting. No cracks. I'll upload 1 more photo to show my latest installation. Sorry for the confusion arising from my borrowing an earlier photo.

I forgot to mention that Paypal is the main payment method. Other methods (money order and check) take longer time.

I have a SMALL QUANTITY as indicated in the first post. After the first one with a cut, no more cut on any following units. Nobody except me will receive a unit with a cut. All units will come with latest stock ROM with latest bootloader ready for custom ROM upgrade though I did test the card on units with either.

As promised, I'm uploading a few more photos to show the installation steps and WiFi-armed MP900 without a single cut.

CORRECTION: non-US buyers of an 'internal' WiFi card pay additional $2 shipping instead of $5. This is in line with 10% off the total cost via Ebay.

The photos and their names already explained the steps if you have the right type of antenna.

Are you saying you will sell the upgraded antenna or the MP900 with the upgraded antenna for $99?
Wow! If it is the whole thing, please sign me up!

Yes. Absolutely. MP900 with CE 4.2 and pre-installed 'built-in' WiFi bundle for $99 or the same WiFi only for $25. Ebayers pay additional shipping. hpcBayers here enjoy free shipping (roughly 10% discount). I'm selling (instead of 'will sell' ) them. Ready to ship!

Only members here can get custom ROM if they ask. Otherwise, stock ROM is provided.

Ironically, Ebayers have been more enthusiastic than hpcBayers towards MP with 'built-in' WiFi or WiFi itself. 4 WiFi-equipped MPs and 3 WiFi cards have been shipped so far. I guess there will be new comers with wireless MPs soon.

You know what would make it even nicer? If you could coat the end of the card in black rubber dip or even black/case colour paint to make it vanish completely.
