Was there an eMbedded Visual Tools 3.0 in the German language?
I can't find any information on it.

Some clues:

Windows CE Embedded Visual Tools 3.0 (kostenlos)

states "Free" so maybe there wasn't a German version and it also states the name in English too.

4.7.2002 HW-SW Entwurf: Windows CE 3
Geschichte / Versionen
• Windows CE 1.0 - 1996
– Englisch, s-w-Display
• Windows CE 2.0 - 1997
– auch Deutsch, Farb Displays

has the "Deutsch" that was presumably introduced in Windows CE 2.0.

I think Windows CE / eMbedded Visual Tools supports various Latin characters (internally UNICODE?), unlike Shift JIS (more specifically MS932) required for Japanese, so maybe German developers developed with English version?
Maybe some of the German users here will have more accurate information.

Thank you, stingraze!!! That answers my question.

It seems it was only English / Japanese for the Development Tools.

When I did some digging on the old Microsoft Germany sites, it was saying the same thing too (from Archive.org)

Still strange:

Supported Languages (Localization) for this Release

US English
German
Japanese

I found this website that has archived Microsoft Knowledge Base pages and I see German mentioned for Visual Basic

https://ftp.zx.net.nz/pub/Patches/ftp.microsoft.com/MISC/KB/en-us/260/080.HTM#Supported%20Languages

Still no closer to finding the mythical German release. Probably still a waste of time since it's probably even more rare than the JP release. If it even existed.
