| Not to be confused with the CE 1 game YachtCE, this is am ARM-only game written for CE 2.11. Here's what it looks like:

Cool-looking game, but just one problem: The instant it opens, the device freezes. I've had the same result on both my J820 and my J728. There's no link to a developer anywhere, so it isn't even possible to bug report. Anyone gotten this thing to work? |

| I've downloaded it more than once, with the same result each time. |

| When I get home I'll see if I have another version for ARM...in the meantime, anyone willing to test it out on their J720 and see what happens? |

As far as I know hpcYachtCE has never worked on my 720 or 728.....the screen just freezes! If I remember correctly, you mentioned that Mike had written the game to run on your 900c (which works beautifully), but it doesn't run on HPC2000 handhelds! |

| Written for the 900C? Strange - it needs the H/PC mfcce211.dll IIRC. |

| IDRC - it doesn't need mfcce211.dll, but it is written for 2.11. I know because when I ran Executability Check on it on my 728 after trying it there, tapping on "Rewrite OS version" shows that the app's OS version is 2.11 to start with. |

I said it was written for the 900c, because I recall Rich asking his programmer friend Mike to write a Yachtzee type program and at the time Rich was using a 900c and his website was strictly focused on the 900c. Perhaps I assumed incorrectly....in any event, when I tried the software about 6 month ago, I got the same results you did - it locks up my 720 and 728, forcing a soft reset. | I think you're right, John. I tested it on my newly-acquired Sigmarion III (another X-Scale device ) and it works perfectly. Maybe I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up when I saw the OS version set at 2.11. Then again, I wonder if it'll work if the CPU identifier is hexedited. Think Mike'll object to one of us trying this? |

CE Geek, did you get it to work? |

| Not so far, though I'm not finished trying. Tried it on my J820 after changing the CPU identifier (since it reports the OS version as 2.11 ), but I still get the same result: opens up and immediately freezes. I'll try it on my 728 later on when I have some time. |

| Actually, now that you mention it, I used your conversion utility, and it kinda looked to me like it said the same thing, though I wasn't sure. Now I'm really confused as to why it won't work. Edited by CE Geek 2007-09-10 8:24 PM
