This is a quick problem and I know it's probably already been answered, so I apologize. But I couldn't find it in the forums. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've set up the prismnds.dll driver in my MP 900c and popped in my Linksys WPC11 card, configured it with proper WEP password for my network, and it authenticated and showed "connected" with good signal. Then I open IE and it just says "The page cannot be displayed". I tried with another card, a Netgear MA401. Same result. I had this problem a couple years ago with another 900c but forgot how I solved it. I've connected successfully many times before with this (very standard) method with other MP machines. Any ideas?

Thanks.

if its just wep it should not say "authenticating", untick 802.11x authentication

Go to Internet Explorer and click on Internet Settings under the View tap and under connection select "Use LAN"

that was the first thing I did.
Still no connection. I'm using the NEC card with Cmonex's rom 2.0
I've played around with all the security options tls, ssl and cookies.
reflashed other roms
my pdaphone connects great to all the access points but no dice on the nec.

any other thoughts?

no thoughts until you describe what you set in the config app on the nec

pkent,

If you didn't try to untick the "Use LAN" checkbox and see if it works, then by all means do. I know it doesn't make much sense, but it helped me with a similar problem on Sigmarion III. Well, actually, "Use LAN" was unticked by default and I ticked it just because it seemed logical. And then I started getting those "The page cannot be displayed" errors from IE. So I unticked it and everything went back to normal.

I'm not sure. Its the NEC Warpstar card. I'll try and find the original driver online when I get home.

It did work before with your driver, thats why I just assumed that it would again.

I believe NEC_Aterm-WL11 is an OEM Orinoco. I'll check my NEC Aterm WarpStar card.

I got that card with my 900C, and though I don't have the card handy at the moment, I think CAuser is correct. I seem to recall it using the Agere driver.
