| Was just wondering if there was any USB printer or drivers for printer that I could try on Sig3?
Either that or does it have the PCL drivers already in it... If not is there any way for the PCL printer support to be obtained from platfrom builder?
I currently have an HP usb printer and wondered if I could make it work from the Sig's USB host
Thanks
John

| Don't see why not - but you'll probably need a third-party printer driver for CE, like Field Software's PrintPocketCE. |

Is PCL built in or do I need to find it?
Thanks

| i doubt MS has it for download, but ask them.
TFGBD sent me a copy on dvd of the eval version..
a bit big to upload, and no free PC to install it on right now...
maybe we can sort it out somehow in private (NOT pm... email) |

| Cool. Another expansion for Sig3!
I also sell a printer compatible with Sig3. If you're interested, please email me, I can help who's interested. Edited by stingraze 2008-02-20 4:48 AM

| Usb Printing is GO!....
I sucessfully printed from my Sig3 to an HP photosmart 7260 inkjet......
Not only that but from my demo of planmaker I even printed in colour. B+W text is very good quality... Graphs in the sheet were quite acceptable but not up to presentation quality. Still I am very pleased with my small contribution.
Ok so how did I do it. Well I used a CE5 usbprn.dll from some files cmonex made available to me... On top of that I imported some registry settings via TRE.
I will take the exechecked dll and .reg file zip them up and maybe see if cmonex can host them for me...
Not sure this will work for all printers (I think HP and Epson's are most likely but it won't hurt to try).

| Was just thinking.... God it hurts....
It may be worth trying this on other CE .net devices that have a usb host but don't have a usbprn.dll file. Can't see why it shouldn't work on them all....
