Good. Replacing the DC jack is my next (small) project.

Were they all functional? The ones I have seen do not look complete. That is an almost too good to be true price!

I already wrote 'I managed to test all of them. They all worked with my 12V/2.5A adapter but WITHOUT MAIN BATTERY.' in my previous post. If they told Rich the truth, then they have few left. Of course, you need at least an AC adapter to power the device as they include neither battery nor AC adapter.

I found a plug that fits the weird jack. The plug's specs say '3.5mmx5.5mm 1mm center pin'.

The styli are actually about the same size as the jornada 720's and fit into the slot for such but would need some tape wrapped around them to fit snugly enough to not fall out of the 720.

I know I'm a little late to jump on this but if you insert the stylus just the right way in the J720 slot it will actually "lock" in, the only downside is about a couple millimeters of the stylus hangs out, it beats unsightly tape though.

Instead of opening up the case and replacing the original jack, I replaced the 1.3mm/3.5mm plug of my adapter with the right plug (3.5mm/5.5mm) with a center pin (1mm) for MP800. It works great and looks nice. Because of the small size of the plug, soldering was a little hard. My next one should be easier as I gained some experience.

I too thought of replacing the plugs...but these connectors on the 800/880 are historically fragile...crap in my opinion, so I opted to replace the jack instead. Six of one I guess, half-a-dozen of the other. Of course the way I did it I would have to sell the a/c adapter with the unit since any new user would be unable to charge otherwise.

Yoldering, all of mine were like new...

Um, I thought once you replace the jack, it should be Plug-N-Play. Since you were the first to buy a lot, they gave you the best. The following lots may not be as good as yours.

Got mine. Four cool orange styli, one tattletale gray. All five working fine. (Yes, I was wrong yet again - they do work without the main battery.) For good measure, I also picked up from the same seller a port replicator for my Dell Latitude.

I succesfully tested my Speedtouch (OEM Orinoco Gold) on MP800 with 128bit WEP. I can access hpcfactor, ebay, cnn, google, amazon, but not yahoo. It seems PIE3 can only browse websites with mobile version. No picture is shown unless the picture is somehow embedded.

I'm puzzled by various specs for NEC MC-BA12 AC adapter for MP800. NEC's user guide says 13.5V/1A (13W). AlanComputech says 13.5V/2.6A (35W). One more seller says 20W. I'm using a 12V/1.3A adapter. Who is right? Of course, if you have the original adapter, then you definitely know the answer by checking the specs.
