Very impressive, especially on the viewing angle. It looks a smodge more orange on the straight on view (on the camera shot at least)

Yeap, it does give it a slightly yellow/orange hew compared to the rest of the screen without this extra layer. Reminds me of the transflective sony screen in the Palm T3. It also had a slightly yellow hue compared to the standard SHARP screens in T3.

Now I think the anti-glare film, if it works, will be the clincher here.

I have tried to fix the j680e digitizer screen. I opened but had a hard time fixing this. I read that you can put a piece of paper inside the jornada I just dont know where exactly. help

Wow, Snappy, that pic with the film patch is amazing. The difference is incredible.

Keep up the experiments. I have a feeling you're going to make a serious breakthrough that will benefit us all.

I'm a firm believer with the tools and knowledge most of our hpcs can be modernized in many ways, from the screen to the ram. Perhpas not to 2006 standards but any increases are welcome.
