Initial version of the Windows codename Longhorn build 5203. Build 5203 screen shots only hit the web yesterday, so how's that for fast work.
This is a Longhorn '5203' clone for WisBar / WisBar Advance under HPC2000 and above. It was built around the classic WisBar but can be impliemented under WisBar Advance.
Versions are available within the package for HVGA devices only. Installation instructions are in the readme.

| It's substantially more customisable, has more options including volume control, wifi integratoion and RAM / batt monitoring.
It isn't hpc user friendly though once you've spent the time stubbing it.

| Went to the website and don't see a HPC option for download. Can you point me to it?
MIPS specifically, please. |

| There isn't one, hence the need to stub file it. |

|
|
| What do you mean by stubbing it?
Are there directions anywhere to do this? |

| No, but there are a number of threads on the forum which discuss it under the banner 'hacking ppc apps'.
You'll have to read up on it under your own steam as it's not something I can help you with. |

| Stubbing means getting "fake" ppc dll's in the programs' path so they think they're running on a PPC and they run OK |

| How about some different icons
Unlike the one I banded around for April fools day to a few people, this one isn't fake. |

| You need a new icon resource and a trip to HKCR's class ID list.
There's a problem with changing the recycle bin icon's... WinCE changes it back when you try and use it.
The other three are OK.
Find the icon mod attached. Attachments ---------------- HPCFactor-WinXP-Icons-1-0.zip (58KB - 105 downloads) |

| I've updated the icon mod for this to version 1.1
It's smaller, has full 16 and 256 colour icons, not just 256, it has a new icon index, updated install.reg and by request works under hpc-pro (and I sould imagine 2.00 also ) Attachments ---------------- HPCFactor-WinXP-Icons-1-1.zip (14KB - 52 downloads) |

| I put the longhorn on my 790 with desaper about two weeks ago, I added desaper b/c without the it, it looks bad. The looks I have gotten are great. I may try the vista, it looks very nice! Both thumbs up. people first ask what the computer is, and then how I got Longhorn on it. |

| Yoldering, I hope you'll post images in the H/PC Desktop's thread
The above icons are actually XP's. I've not made up one for Longhorn (in full ) yet. |
