I need a control panel app...

Some devices have a control panel application that allows you to set the usb port of your device to serial_class for Activesync, or USB_mass_storage class for just having the device recognized as an external storage drive.

I need a copy of that app for CE5 if anyone has one...or maybe CE6...whatever.

In reality it is a simple program that simply changes the registry entry in a single key....to either one option or the other...

Anyone have such a thing?

I thought I'd posted about this before. It's a standard executable rather than a Control Panel applet, and it doesn't work on every device, but it's worth a try:

Ahhhh...that works beautifully...much thanks. I have a Nextar NT43 GPS I picked up on eBay the other day for just a couple of bucks that runs CE5. Easy enough to get into the CE shell and make the changes manually to the registry so I could Activesync the thing, but also a pain in the butt to change it back and forth from serial class to mass storage.

You executable works great and did it for me so much more simply.
