| So I'm house-sitting at my friend's house the next few days, I brought my HP t5540 Thin Client with me so I could test nPOPuk.
Anyway, I'm connecting directly to their router with an ethernet cable, and while CE shows the adapter is "connected", I'm unable to get a connection to the Internet.
IE keeps hanging and then says "Local Intranet" in bottom corner, eventually saying "Page Cannot Be Displayed"
I even tried renewing the lease too.
Is there anything else to try? |

| Try a static IP address with 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 as the DNS servers |

| That worked I can get google.com what you said plus me putting
255.255.255.255 for subnet mask and default gateway for 192.168.50.1 (most people it would be 192.168.0.1, their router is weird)
Now when I open Npopuk I get “verify of ssl failed unable to get local issuer certificate” error 20
I’m trying to diagnose internet problems before I think it’s a bug with the x86 beta of Npopuk

| 255.255.255.255 err, that shouldn't work. 255.255.255.0 is more like it and I assume a typo
Most peoples CPE's in the UK use 192.168.1.0. Only Virgin Media use 192.168.0.0 out of the big providers. |

| Okay I switched the subnet mask to have .0 at the end.
Internet Explorer works to load google and search results
I still can’t get Npopuk to work
Same error as before
Would you say I ruled out the internet being the issue ? |

| it worked on a /32 network mast o.O
That's a bug
Put vxUtil on and vxHPC or putty and try and telnet into the POP server port, just make sure it isn't being firewalled off. |

| I did ping for the outlook pop server. Using vxutil
It was successful. I don’t know how to really telnet though |

| "verify of ssl failed unable to get local issuer certificate" sounds like a ca.pem issue? Then you need to install it on an appropriate place. idk it's where for current testing version but try the root directory and whatever. |
