One thing to try is to check in the bios if Legacy USB support is disabled. When your computer first turns on, either press F1 or F2 or Del (usually one of those keys will work) and you will enter the BIOS screen. You may have this disabled. If thats the case, enable it. Save. Restart the computer. But i still think there is a driver issue at hand here. Or there is an issue with Active Sync trying to use a port/com thats already in use by something. But after see a video of what your doing, this should help all of us trying to help better understand whats going on. Hopefully we can help you get connected ;-)

^ I think you have the video set to "private". Make it public and we should be able to see it ;-)

Your usb to serial adapter isn’t correctly installed. It would show COM1 as available if it was successful. Can you take some screenshots of device manager ? Including showing the usb serial adapter?

Extract the driver into a folder. Go to device manager and find the USB adaptor in the list (itll have a yellow exclamation icon). Click update driver and select the folder where you extracted the drivers and click next. Should be all you need to do. ;-)

Keep us informed ;-)
