*sighs* to my surprise, pretec isn't compatible with for example the senao driver. but i can be mistaken, only one of my friends reported so, with a jornada 720 and pretec cf ). i didn't try it myself.
it would be good if it worked as the senao drivers have a ce 4 version (this is the reference driver ).. so i'd still suggest that you try it. d-link dcf-660w has a ce 4 version too.. (as far as i can see the pretec doesn't... ? )
or does this WPC11NDS has a ce 4 version by default? great then |

tried and failed. The LED on the WLAN card lit up for a sec and went off. Driver name used "wlannds" or "wlannds.dll", both failed. |

| This may not be the easiest task then.
Between 4.0 and 4.1, and 4.1 and 4.2 the driver subset was changed - ultimatly one may need drivers for the specific version, depending on whether the NDIS module's that much different.
If anyone will have a inkling for drivers it'll be cmonex (who seems to magically know everything about every wifi card mentioned ) or may be one of the 900c group - Rich perhaps. |

| I downloaded AMBICOM drivers ambicom and now the WLAN card's LED is flashing. But it does not have any config dialog to setup the card. I do see that there are registry settings, but have no idea what values to put in. |

yeah that was what i was afraid of then my friend was right.. i can't see why they aren't compatible but they aren't...
i can try to help you with the needed reg settings, except WEP, as i'm not sure about that one |

don't you want to look at the CF ones? (you can use a pcmcia-cf adapter )
bluetooth that works with ce.net 4.1 on the simpad: mavintec, and possibly ambicom and socket (they're all CF ) |

Thanks cmonex! I'll come back later with the SL4 so that I can pull down the reg values. |

didnt think about cf through pcmcia. what about usb on the simpad? im thinking about mounting it in my car and i kinda want both wifi and some form of storage. any ideas?
i was thinking a bluetooth keyboard might be fun too so i know what im looking for is a bit much...
i want it to be able to do at least two of the following:
USB storage / HID / Bluetooth AND wifi.
