Hey, tenjeangosi, I don't know if Microsoft will do this, but if you lose the program to a hard reset and can't find the registration key, sometimes if you explain this to the software distributor, they'll reissue a key by e-mail.
('Course, that requires that you already be registered online as the owner, which won't help if you bought it used. And, admittedly, I have my doubts whether Microsoft would be that nice even if you bought it new.
) Richard Lang's site did this for me with Chess Genius, and PDAAdvanced did it for me for PDARubix.
('Course, those were downloaded from the sites directly and unlocked after I paid the registration fees online in my name.
