| I'm saving up, as well, for a Mobilepro 900 or 900c (can't decide which is better ). My wife got me a beat-up MP790 a few weeks ago and I absolutely love the form factor. If (or when ) I do get an MP900, I suppose I'll just have to splurge on the extended battery for it, too.
[Darn. I just missed out on an MP900 on eBay for less than $200.] Edited by alphacrumb 2006-05-15 11:19 PM

| I just got my Jornada 728, so there's nothing left to buy. (Not! )
I'm not looking at anything specific at the moment. Just watching MobilePro 880s to see if a bargain comes along. (Having thoughts of doing the 890 upgrade. There is an 890 on eBay right now, but I'm not ready to pay $240 BIN, especially when I already have the 790. ) Don't expect me to bid on anything soon. |

Maybe the 900c with CE .net 4.2? You do not have office editors
but you DO!
pocketword and bsquare excel editor, out of the box

ooh, where was it less than 200$? my second 900 was basically 183+37 $$ (shipping )
ok i found it. was it this: http://cgi.ebay.com/NEC-MobilePro-900-Portable-Instant-On_W0QQitemZ9725320330QQcategoryZ38331QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
do NOT be sorry you missed it. this one will not charge the battery or work on AC... only works on a charged battery. whew.
oh and you're right, an extended batt would be a nice idea.. i've got alot of standard batteries, but an extended would be less clutter
...but i don't see any on ebay (to stay on topic )

| Pretty cool. It's in pretty good shape, though there are a few light scratches on the screen that you can't see when it's on. "Del" key is a little loose, don't seem to be able to pop it on tight; but everything works great. (So much faster at 206 MHz! ) It took a long time to get, but the seller was pretty good about keeping me posted by e-mail on delivery status. |

| A pair of Sig IIIs (if the price is right). A metal case for my Tungsten W. Maybe 2 or 3 pcmcia-cf type II adapters. That's about it for me. |

I won't say that yet. I got a lot of 'em that are a lot of fun, particularly my 6651. (Turns out there are a lot of cool MIPS apps out there. ) But I love this one too. |

| I just wanted to take a minute to help us refocus. Please note my first post in this thread. It's cool to see what everyone wants to get, and by all means please keep posting that. Please also let us know what you are [I}currently bidding on, though, particularly if it is HPC related. This is the founding purpose for this thread. :+D I don't want to discourage any posting, but I did want to remind folks there was a purpose behind it. I hope I don't sound too much like a party pooper. That's not my intention. Happy bidding and happy posting. |

| hey we all should just tell our ebay names. then you can check what auctions the others are bidding for, in advanced search
ok, if you want to know about me, that's no good, i try to bid in the last minute usually. also i just tried to search for my own bids (like i had any at the moment... nope ) and got nothing... ebay denied my request as european privacy rights won't allow anyone to see my bidding list... | break them! :+D not intentionally, of course!!! Just kidding. Keep a couple and sell the rest, either here or on eBay. The other option is to find a cheap J728, but they aren't very prevalent--especially the "cheap" kind. |

| If you get ahold of a cheap J728 lot, let me know. |

| A Sigmarion III, if reasonably priced, or the Japanese equivalent of an NEC 790 or 900. I really like my 790 (I'm using it right now!) and a Japanese system would be great for my job but they seem pretty rare. I'm trying to experiment with getting an IME on a western system but I doubt it will work. |
