Forgot to ask, can someone report what the diagnostics tool says their battery statistics are (i think it gives voltage and aperage) when fully charged? I think the battery meter may be uncalibrated.
I'm getting 8.221v at -559mA. The negative is a bit confusing. Does this seem ok?
hmm again in reply to this,
i got 8.420-8.460 when fully charged but still on the charger.. and 0 mA. it's certain it (mA info) just shows info about the flow of the battery current. 8.265-8.272 volts when off charger while it still reported 100% charge. it is about OK.. Edited by cmonex 2006-09-02 5:04 PM

| Thanks cmonex, mine looks resonable then. I'm going to try a few discharge/recharge cycles to see if that gets Windows CE to go up to 100%. |
| Now the battery will only charge up to 79%... Any advice? |

| do not deep discharge it, that might make it worse! |
| I took it down to 30% then recharged it. Wonder whats causing it? |

| hope it isn't dying!!
but you can replace the cells with standard 18650's |
| Yes you can replace them but I haven't done mine yet. I do have the batteries and will take the old ones out (see page 5 for pics) and see what happens.

| I really hope the batteries are not dead (dying). I'm going to try and use it normally for a few days, see if that remedies them.
Incidentally, does anyone know how to get a signal strength reading while GPRS is connected? (the little icon will only show the signal strength when the module is on, but not connected). |

| No it is the sign of going down.

| Wait! My computer went dead while I was away and I lost everything!
I was down to 57% on battery life before I left to go away after repeated recharging .
I recharged this morning and went to check on it and it now says 79%! Yes!!!!!
