Web page loading problem fixed

My problem turned out to be the DNS server information was needed and that is why I was only able to connect every so often. Once I got the DNS server number and entered that into my NEC 900C it loads web pages up no problem in IE, was also able to connect using any phone line in the house.

Very cool that you figured it out. Luckily that is something I've never had to enter...not sure I would know how to if I had to. Congrats!

Really enjoying my 900C and using the web on it. has brought an entire new level to being able to quickly access emails and news.

There are no scratches on the cover and key board looks brandnew also screen is looks almost brandnew for a used handheld this unit in is really good.
The thing on the screen is a my news site I run. and one of the reasons I got this hand held because I needed a way to do quick news posting and check emails when on the go.

I've just put in an offer for a 900C too..

Are the NEC power adapters universal voltage (ie: ~110v AC and ~230v AC?) or would I need a transformer for ~110 to ~230v as the one I have put an offer in for is in the USA and I'm in the UK.

Thanks

Vicky

They should be. I got the 880 that I converted to an "890" from an eBay seller in the UK. The 230V plug was included, and I just switched it with a 110V one and all is well.

Thanks that really helps

Now I just need to reassure myself that spending a teeny £55 (~$115) is worth it. That really is rather rock bottom for a CE device of the 900c's age...

...I do get paid this week....

the 890 has nothing to do with this.

but yes the 900's ac adapter is worldwide. (just put a US-UK plug on it)

I just got my MP 900c from www.usedhandhelds.com also! And it had a few little scratches on the battery and the rubber flap is missing from the usb port area but beside those small things its basically NEW!!

The screen is perfect and loading up usb drivers now. But as far I can see its was forth the $!!!!

I found a killer case thats perfect for the 900. Its made for the MP 790, but the inside dim. are just right for the 900! Only problem is the price
