Good afternoon;

The wire in my AC adaptor for my NEC Mobilepro 790 is damaged and dying, which hinders my use of the handheld. Can anyone recommend a non-OEM adapter that works?

The Source (Canadian version of Circuit City and Radio Shack) has a 9V, 900mA adapter for sale and I wondered if that would be acceptable to the handheld.

I don't want to go to eBay, because after shipping, exchange, duty and whatever it will run me about a third of what I paid for the whole device.

900mA is just about perfect for use with a 790. Go for it. Just make sure it is 9V DC output and not AC (actually haven't seen any AC adapters in a while) and make sure that it has the center contact positive. Also, you guys have Walmarts up there....Walmart caries the PowerLine version of universal adapters....theirs works too, and it only costs about $15 in the USA.
