| Looking into this, it seems that for my MP770 I would need Gigabar 1.0? The couple of download links I found for this are broken. Does anyone know where I can find the file?
www.gigabar.com is no more (or down).
Thanks,

| Thanks, Amie. I promise, that's the first place I looked
The problem is that I install via a CF card, and the 1.58 install does not place the .cabs in the active sync folder so that I can copy them. I though maybe the older 1.0 version might do that.

| No, it puts them in the system temp folder when you double click the .exe
and it's C:Amie |

| Thanks, again C:Amie.
I still can't find the cab. I looked in windows/system/temp. The install says my PPC device should be connected as though there is a direct install to the unit. |

| Double click the .exe so that the screen where you select which bits you want to install is up.
There will be a folder underneath c:\windows\temp or c:\documents and settings\<user>\local settings\temp which has the cabs in it |

| When I click the .exe, I get the "This will install Gigabar to your PPC", etc.
There are four check boxes, all ticked, then "install" and "cancel". I click "install."
"Pending applications install" is shown, and I click OK.
"On the next mobile connection, the installed applications will be downloaded to the device", I click ok. There are no programs listed in the "add/remove programs" window. "Install programs into the default installation folder" is ticked, but the folder isn't listed, and I can't untick it.
Maybe this has something to do with my version of active sync, 3.8. |

| I didn't say to click on Install, I just said pull up to the selection screen and head to the temp folder |

| It's recommended that you install all the bits of the puzzle, yes |

| Your help is much appreciated. This is an amazing site. I've been totally absorbed in it since last weekend when I started trying to pump up my handheld.
I really do try to figure stuff out for myself first. But I'm still an H/PC baby.
