No, but if they support core devices rather than PocketPC it'll open them up to the world of navigation units too, which is a desirable marketplace. Agreed they're unlikely to target below CE.net 4, but if we can get 'em working with 4.1 and not requiring PocketPC platform stuff then that is a step in the right direction!

Agree with chiark...

There are plenty of other embedded systems based on a CE .NET core and if they go for PPC they will not only exclude us poor HPC users but many millions of systems that could potentially use and/or include firefox.

so get them to support cenet 4.2.

Cool. But the Redgear does not necessarily have much connection with my project actually, because I want a decent browser for Handheld PC Pro, not Handheld PC 2000.

H/PC 2000 is as decent as it gets in my opinion, even if others disagree.
