| Having got a new PC fitted with XP the Windows CE Services package which came with my LG Phenom (about 5 years old) doesn't allow the HPC to synchronise. Does anyone know if there is a download that will fix this, please? I've asked LG in UK and they say there's nothing. If synchronisation is not going to be possible is there any way of transferring my Pocket Outlook contacts onto the removable drive to transfer them to the PC? If all else fails, I guess the only solution is to find someone with an old PC, synchronise there, save everything to a disc or card and transfer it to mine. | |

| John,
Uninstall Services. It is not compatible with XP.
Hit the top navigation, sync software, ActiveSync 3.x and download ActiveSync 3.8.
That it the modern version of Services.

| It works. Igor, the monster lives!
Brilliant. Thank you. | |

| Can I bother you again, please? This worked for a while. Then it stopped synchronising automatically even though it connected and I had to go through "get connected" but now it will only connect and not synchronise. Perhaps it's the hand held that's given up.

| What error is ActiveSync giving you? | |

| It's not. It connects, the little wheel stops spinning, and that's it. The "synchronise" command is greyed out and doesn't do anything. I've tried re-installing, and system restoring to before the last good synchronisation. | |

| Open ActiveSync, on the file menu choose Delete Partnership
The on the file menu expand mobile device (if available) and delete any other partnerships on the system and try again.
