i think netfront is quite good at java.
private certificates: you can do it manually... there's a topic about it just now..
I have not seen that topic - unless it is an older one. The certificates in CER format can be imported, yes. But certificates in P12 format
(encrypted, password protected
) can not be. At least this was the case about one month ago. ...but we are now off-topic already
