Well, as I said above, I did a factory reset and now it is working fine. I'm able to install cab files, etc. I just wish it had excel, and some pim functions. I have been able to find some third party apps to do these things so I'm happy about that. But it really is kind of too big to use as a PDA. So I have just been using it as an internet radio. Which it really works well for since it has the stereo speakers and decent volume and wifi.

Yes, I did. Thanks. But when I try to run Excel is says...

"Cannot find 'pxl' (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all the required libraries are available."

ok, download this from my site: http://hpcmonex.net/izemize/exec.zip

use the ARM version, run it, select the pxl.exe in it (whereever you installed it) and tell me what it reports about pxl

It says...

"Office.dll" can't be loaded. "Office.dll" or its linked file requires a newer Version OS.

I'm running windows ce 3.0 build 126 (if that helps)

Oh, and I also ran it on the coredl2.dll and I got the following message...

"\Windows\coredl2.dll" requires OS version 4.20.
OS Version of this machine is 3.0

ah, yeah.. take the office.dll in execheck, press rewrite lib name button, a list of dll names will come up, change coredl2.dll to coredll.dll, then see if excel works then.

That did the trick! Thanks!!!

This thing is turning out to be pretty cool. I think I'm going to get a USB keyboard, a PS2 mouse and turn it into a desktop Windows CE machine. It's got a VGA port on it also, but I don't know why you would want to hook it up to an external monitor when it already has a beautiful 1024X768 screen.

Thanks again for all your help. How did you learn how to do this stuff?

I wish I knew how to hack this thing. I bet you could do some cool stuff with it.

I get...

"imgdecmp.DLL" can't be loaded. "imgdecmp.DLL" or its linked file requires a newer version OS.
"COREDL2.dll" can't be loaded. "COREDL2.dll" or its linked file requires a newer version OS.

And I don't think Windows Explorer was on there before. I don't remember. I could reset the device and start over...
