retractable antenna on a wi fi pcmcia card??

i had a 3 com wi fi card with a retractable antenna call "x jack" i loved it never had to remove but could just push in when not in use it will not work with ce 2.11 as far i know, is any one using some type of wi fi card that does that (retract antenna) while still in the pcmcia slot??

Sorry, I don't understand what you are asking. A lot of the new Wifi cards do not need an external antenna. Are you looking for a new card? Or looking for a card like the one you used to use? Have you looked at the HCL? That is a good place to look for a card that will work for you.

gulfwindx is is talking about a particular model of wifi card that has an antenna tip that can retract into the card itself.

I have seen those before. Thanks for the links though.
I was asking what gulfwindx was asking for. Like that specific card or something new, that would actually work with 2.11 although I did not research if that specific card would work with 2.11, just figured that it didn't since gulfwindx said it did not.

hehe ... I'm equally guilty with not refreshing before posting!

Well ... ya, it does not seem to have any drivers for 2.11 ... even the Great Google turns up nothing ... linux have drivers though ...

I really feel like writing some drivers ... grrr ... should have taken up the offer to hop to the drivers department when I was in R&D back then ... ... alas ... one can only do so much ...
