mobilepro 780

Greetings

I have a 780 with the following version:

Windows CE handheld version 3.01

I also have a compaq WL 100 wireless card

If anyone can steer me in the right direction for the correct install procedure and correct software it would be much appreceated.

Simple, go to the HCL (hardware compatibility list) on this website, select wireless network card, go to the second page and find the wifi card. Then click on it and at the bottom of the next page, download the CE2.11 driver. Run the first program and it will create a file called Setup211. Run it that file and it will create the cab file you need in the C:\program files\microsoft activesync\compaq computer corporation\WL100_WINCE211 folder.

You want the file that is titled wl100.4000

Just copy it to your Mobilepro and tap on it to install it.

p.s. Don't be confused or fooled, your device runs CE2.11, not CE3...the Office Applications version are different than the operating system.

Got the driver installed and the card (last), I get a blinking light on the card and a red vice green task bar display.....any thoughts?

I tried a manual ssid and ip address.

The system would not automatic assign.

also did a soft reset
