Need Help with Dest 6 on WinCE 4.2 Device

Hi all, great forum and very informative. I have a Shinco GM408 GPS device, which runs on WinCE 4.2 net core, It also has Destinator 6.1.8 which must be a specific version. I have tried to install version 7 and also V 6.1.4, but with no luck. The only way it will run is if i have destinator.exe destcore.dll v 6.1.8, this works even if the rest of the files are from 6.1.4. As soon as i place the exe and dll from 6.1.4 on the device it does not load.

Anyway my real issue is that i want to use other maps and the only way to do that is to be able to load 6.1.4 for which i have a working destcore.dll(patched) or find a way to patch the 6.1.8 destcore.dll.

never mind worked it out. Just needed to copy Aygshell.dll to destinator directory and all is good :-)

I have the same GPS like your GM-408 and
I am trying to connect with the PC via USB but the windows
can not find the driver for it.

I am also search the WEB and tried to contact Shinco Australia
but I have no response from them.

Just wondering how do you connect the device to the PC
and If you have the driver, could you please share it to me.

Hi Everyone

Seem like Shinco is a creepy product that there is no service after sales.

I won't buy any more on these product and I won't recommend to anyone
on Shinco product.
