1. What kind of java vm is working? I have managed to get Creme 4 to work, but not the Java IDE one (for J720) and neither Jeode. The Creme is not perfect as it doesn't seem to interact with IE so many htm pages with java wont work.

2. Is there any point in "upgrading" the jscript dll from the 900c (which is CE 4.2)?

3. Can you get a working Browser replacement, which is better than the built in IE 5.5?

4. Can you get flash7 to work on the Sig3?

5. Finally, is it possible to allocate more video memory to the Sig3 for faster browsing?

Flash 7 works fine... Is available with instructions on cmonex's site.

I installed 900C java but there doesn't seem to be any improvement or change over the 4.1 file.

You can make VRAM go to 8MB from 4MB but I didn't see any improvement.

The inbuilt browser is the best available at moment but didn't have any problems with most sites. The biggest boost in speed I got for the device on a whole (and browsing) was getting a very fast SD card and installing all apps to SD including making a loader path in registry so I was able to move all DLL's (except rom and imageon ones) to SD as well. I also changed registry to store browser cache on SD.

I have not tried JVM's yet.

Hope these comments help.

opera works quite well (faster than IE) with isotherm's ws2.dll, just wish it could be released.

Just to clarify, the ws2.dll can't be released? What's the story with that?

It's part of a full app called redgear being developed by isotherm that will allow PPC WM apps to run out the box on HPC's...

Currently in Beta for HPC2000 and hopefully once out 4.1 version will follow...

I've really really wanted isotherm to release at least ws2.dll (if not redgear) since before I got my Sigmarion, but it turns out wanting something doesn't make it real. Can anything be done to persuade him to release it? Is anyone else interested?

Is there a big difference between Opera 8.6 and 8.65?
8.6 seems to run on the Sig3 with the 529.0 K coredll. No luck with 8.65 though.

Did you try browsing...

The program running isn't the problem, you can even type in the web address, hit enter, and the light on the wi-fi card looks like it requests the data for the page. It's just the page doesn't seem to get back into opera... ) Though I belive it displays local pages fine.

no big difference

it runs but won't connect, won't browse pages online without the special ws2.dll

Regarding the JVM - has anyone managed to register the plugin to work with IE 5.5?

I get an error of loadlibrary cremepie.dll failed last error 7e for the creme jvm and cannot work out how to register the jeode plugin either?

If successful I reckon at least some java pages will run in IE 5.5 on the Sig3.

0x7e means it does not see cremepie.dll for some reason

(#define ERROR_MOD_NOT_FOUND 126L)

see if execheck complains about cremepie.dll

cmonex - once again you are a star!
problem was execheck reported no problems?
but somehow creme did not set up directories during installation so moving files to the windows dir solved the problem with registering the plugin
