| I know it's a stupid question that has probably been asked and answered hundred times already, but I need to make this clear (and I've searched the forums).
I know there is only fake suspend in kernel 2.6 based linux distros on J7xx. But what about distros based on kernel 2.4 (eg. RTFM's preconfigured packages) ? I just got the impression from reading the forums, that suspend in kernel 2.4 might work better than in 2.6 on hpcarm. Is there any difference?
And once again, sorry about this stupid question. | |

| Both just slow down the cpu, turn off display and stop powering pcmcia. | |

| Thanks. Do you shut it down completely and remove the battery when you want to save power? So basically the main disadvantage is that you lose instant on, because you have to boot everytime? | |

| Yes, you need to shut it down completely, or reboot to wince and suspend from there (wince suspend can last as long as a few months without draining the battery too much) | |
