| Hello.
I have been trying to read Japanese on PIE (accessing Japanese websites) with MP780.
I added Japanese font "msgothic.ttc" to \Windows folder, and replaced "wince.nls" file to the Japanese version (I copied from a Japanese Jornada 680). Then, I used SmallTweak to change the System font to MSGothic, and now I can read Japanese in most of the programs (Word, QMail, etc) but NOT on PocketIE.
Since I copied the Japanese version of wince.nls, Pocket IE has the "Japanese" option under View->Language menu. But when I access any Japanese site, I only get a bunch of squares (In Japan we call them "Tofu"). I guess PIE has wrong font settings? Is there anything I can do in terms of tweaking registry?
By the way, there are so much information RE Japanization of PocketPCs, and I have several successfully Japanized PPCs. But I am having difficulty finding much infor RE H/PC..
Thank you! |

| Yup, the Mobile Gear 530. Good luck trying to get someone from Yahoo Japan Auctions to send you something though. International shipping is a bit hard to come by. The real trick is being able to type in Japanese on a non-Japanese system though. |

| Thanks everyone. Though I'm Japanese, I live in Pennsylvania. I never tried Yahoo Auction in Japan.. I do monitor eBay for rare Japanese H/PC but I don't see much.. I will look for a used one when I visit Japan later this year. But then, I would loke to look for Jornada 728.. Thanks again |

| So that's what the 430 and 450 are. I was a little curious about that. |

| Hi all,
I'm getting ready to sell a MobileGear II MC/R430. As soon as I can get my butt in gear, watch the sale forum. |

| I'm sure the R510 is selling somewhere in Japan, but it looks like Yahoo auctions does not have any listed right now. Outside of Yahoo auctions, I think second hand CE devices are becoming harder and harder to find in second hand retail stores. I haven't been to Japan in a couple years now, so I'm not 100% certain though. |

| The 400 series seems pretty rare overall. I've got a 450 sitting next to me but it was the only one I'd seen online. |
