I wanted to wait until I see it on sale everywhere, but waiting is not fun

The Axia A108 is a smartphone that runs CE .Net (not PPC or Smartphone).
http://www.myaxia.com/
It was announced many months ago and was on the news on many tech sites. However, I cannot find any review on the actual product, until...

Recently, a local magazine in Hong Kong reviewed a unit.
http://www.pc3mag.com/
That website is mysteriously missing info on issue 220 which has the review as the cover story. I have a hard copy in my hand.

A seller is currently selling "internal staff offer" units for 4000 HKD each on Hong Kong's Yahoo Auction site.

The official site has it for sale online at 525 USD + shipping from Malaysia (I think).
http://www.myaxia.com/store/shopping/product_details.php?id=1

About the phone:
Tri-band GSM
1.3 MP camera
Runs CE .Net 4.2
On a Motorolla ARM-compatible processor at 266 Mhz
64MB of RAM
miniSD slot
2.2 inch 240x320 TFT display with touchscreen
Candybar shape with keypad
Sized about the same as a Smartphone; significantly smaller than a PPC phone (even the "mini" )
Custom software for phone function and PIM

... I want one

$525 ! That's a little too expensive for me... I mean here in Japan, you can get cell phones with 2Megapixel camera for 1yen ~($0.01)(not Windows Mobile, but with MP3 Player, etc. ) and ones with TV tuner for about 5000yen~($50.00)... If it was $100 I'd buy it... But Win CE.NET still attracts me..

Actually the price is not so bad compared to phones that run PPC or Palm. They can sell for a lot more than other phones because they can be used as a normal PPC or Palm as well. Most phones can't. Not even the MS Smartphone.

However, I do agree that this phone shouldn't sell for this much. If it runs PPC, then this price is more reasonable. Even so, without BT, it will not be very popular.

I just hope the price will come down quickly I would seriously considering buying one if it comes down maybe 25%.

well i don't know... my phone should not be MS. i don't hate MS at all, i just don't like the fact that they're or will be dominating EVERYTHING, even phone market! that would be too much for me but i'll have to accept this soon.
