DRAM: Infineon HYB39L256160AT-7.5 (32MBx2) a000.0000-a3ff.ffff

In this thread for full hardware details

Was thinking about this myself but they didn't make a 64Mb chip in the same series so it would need a compatible part from diffrent manufacturer or range.

Let us know how you get on.

I like the idea of 128Mb so it would make it possible to have a rom that can be run as shaddow rom which should speed the device up a fair bit.

It's not going to be easy though as the current chips are BGA ones so will not be as easy to remove from the motherboard.

It's the original memory datasheet.
http://www.datasheetcatalog.org/datasheet/infineon/1-DS_256M_LS_33V_2002-_12_20.pdf

And this is the new one, i've found...
http://www.datasheetcatalog.org/datasheets2/13/1367316_1.pdf

Frequences are the same, voltage can be 2,5 or 3,3.
I'll analyze their compatibility...
