I'm looking for drives that will work with my PCMCIA NetGear FA410 ethernet card. I just got my J680e in a few days ago and when I popped in the card it noticed it, powered it and all looked well. But it can't grab an IP from the router and I've tried changing the settings, inputing all the IP information myself and even switched a few drivers around.

I still haven't been able to get it working, if anyone has got it working before or might know of some drivers that would fix my problem, please point me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance.

Our guides in support and discussion on the board are for the MA401, not the FA410.
It's a Prism 2.5 chipset job. Try searching the HCL for NL-2511CD and downloading the 2.11 driver that it returns with.

Ok, the NL-2511CD is for a wireless card. I tried anyways just to see and it did not work...

Any others that might work? This is a wired card btw, not sure if that matters on not on HPC.

oops, hahaha
We're so used to getting repetative wifi questions I didn't think to look

If netgear don't provide drivers for it and it's not in the HCL already, then it wont work.

Blah, it figures. lol

Before I even got my J680e I read around these forums and was checking out what would work and what wouldn't. I noticed that only 16bit card buses work and 32 bit card buses won't work at all.

I looked the back of my PCMCIA card and noticed it was a 16bit so I figured it might work, but I know it was a shot in the wind.

Thanks anyways, got a Proxim Orinoco Silver 802.11b PC card that I'm trying to get. Model number 8421-WD, which is supposed to work like a charm with these drivers.

So hopefully it will all work out just fine.
