NEC MP 900C 'low battery' indicator warning

Hello!

Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated.

I have an NEC MP 900C running the stock OS (ce.net)

My system constantly gives the 'Your main battery is extremely low' warning popup, even when the battery is fully charged to 100% and when the system is plugged in!

My backup battery has recently been replaced, and gives no warnings.

This is extremely annoying.. are there any fixes out there??

How long will it run on the main battery...it might be at 100% charge, but that doesn't mean the capacity is working optimally.

Yeah, Rich, but it does this even when doctrdev's 900C is plugged in to AC power.

I'm thinking maybe a faulty connection. Are there any signs of damage or improperly bent contact points where the battery connects when put in place?

There doesn't seem to be any problem with the connection, the battery works fine.. it does drain somewhat quickly (in one hour with the backlight on). Maybe it's just time to replace the main battery...
