Calendar issue on Aero 8000

I didn't get any bites on an attempt to sell my Aero 8000, so I thought I would try to diagnose and fix the problem it's having with the calendar. Calendar opens fine once, but if I close it, it won't re-open without a soft reset. Cmonex thought it might be the ram, but I switched out the ram chip and still had the problem.

Could this be a rom issue? Has anyone else run into this kind of problem before?
